01 What I do

I design the system, build the front end on it, and automate the work around it.

Over a decade of making websites. My longest client kept me eight years, from the first design to one codebase for two sites. Most others came by referral and stayed: a short-term contract that became a year, a collaboration that ran four.

The three layers I work across

  1. 01

    The system layer

Design systems in Figma, and a front end built to mirror them, one SCSS file per component, so one codebase can serve more than one site.

  2. 02

    The interface layer

The UI/UX of every page, designed from that system and signed off in one or two review rounds.

  3. 03

    The automation layer

Workflows that take the copying out of publishing: 12 documentation pages a day instead of two a week, a case study in two hours instead of two weeks.

I am based in Doha and available now, with no current contracts. If you need a website, an app or an automation set up, hire me and put me in touch with whoever makes the final decision.

02 What I can take on

Three ways teams bring me in.

My longest engagement started as one and grew into all three: design only in 2018, the front end two months in, automation in 2026.

  1. Offer 01 · UI/UX Specialist

    Interface Design & Design Systems

For a brand still designed page by page. I build the design system in Figma first, then every screen from it.

    • UI/UX design, from the system down to each page
    • One review pipeline every visual passes through
    • A system the rest of the brand can take on
    Track record

Eight years as one company's lead UI/UX designer. Review rounds per page fell from three or four to one or two, and its product lineup took on the system's fonts and colours.

  2. Offer 02 · Senior Frontend Engineer

    Frontend Built From the System

For sites where every new page needs a developer. I architect the front end to mirror the design system, so editors build pages themselves.

    • One SCSS file per design component
    • WordPress blocks and Elementor widgets to build pages from
    • One shared codebase across sites, not a copy per site
    Track record

Moved two sites, 200+ and 100+ pages, onto one shared plugin. A page's build fell from about six days to two or three, and by the end marketing built its own: 5–10 a month.

  3. Offer 03 · Automation Engineer

    The Automation Layer

For a team losing days to moving work between tools. I build the workflow that moves it, around the tools you already use.

    • n8n workflows, from Google Drive to WordPress
    • A preview and approval step before anything goes live
    • Formatting rules and an error log your team owns
    Track record

Built a Google Docs-to-WordPress pipeline alone in about a month. In testing, three writers published 12 pages a day, against about two a week before.

Featured reference

I wish we could give six stars. Chris was essentially a creative director combined with an elite web and graphic designer. On top of all that, he was an excellent communicator and, overall, a pleasure to work with. It's hard to put into words how much we valued him. But I would say, if you are an organization looking to improve your website, or have design automation projects you need help with, you would be lucky to end up with Chris and his team!

  • Case 01Enterprise Network Security

A Shared Foundation for Two Platforms

    DesignEngineering

    Problem

A brand with no design identity of its own, and later a second platform on a separate codebase: every section was built twice, and a change of mind meant a code push nobody could preview first.

    Scope

Hired in 2018 to remake the design, with the front end added two months in; from 2019 the second platform too, and from 2024 the WordPress side, graphics and QA.

    Solution

A design system for the brand, and one codebase both of its platforms install: the same sections on each, with per-site settings deciding the difference.

  • Case 02Enterprise Network Security

    Documentation That Publishes Itself

    Automation

    Problem

Every documentation page was copied into WordPress by hand, whole, because nobody could pin what had changed, then reviewed and fixed in a loop: almost a week a page, and two a week at most.

    Scope

A new contract in April 2026, on its own and built by one person, to automate how the documentation team's writing becomes a live page.

    Solution

A pipeline that turns a writer's Google Doc into a live WordPress page, with the writer's approval of a preview the only step in between.

  • Case 03In-house

Building the Room You're Standing In

    DesignEngineeringAutomation

    Problem

Three portfolios started and none finished, and every case study meant up to two weeks of writing by hand while working out the template it had to fit.

    Scope

Our own site, from May 2026: the design language, the front end, and the automation that turns an interview into a case study.

    Solution

A portfolio built from one design language and one set of components, where every case study starts as an interview and reaches the page in about two hours.

A Shared Foundation for Two Platforms

Lead UI/UX Designer, Lead Frontend Engineer

Designed the brand's design system and the pipeline every visual passes through, then architected the front end to match — one SCSS file per design component — ending in one codebase both platforms install.

    • The website's design system became the base of the client's branding: the rest of its product lineup took on the same fonts and colours.
    • Moved both sites, 200+ and 100+ pages, onto one shared plugin: the first relaunched 2025-10 after a 40-day deployment freeze, the second 2026-01.
    • By the end, a new page could go live within the day from the prepared components.
    • Cut each page's front-end build from about six days (four, plus two duplicating it for the second site) to two or three.
    • Cut a page design's review rounds from three or four, of two to three days each, to one or two.
    • Editors' changes needing a fix fell from about 12 a month to one or two after the relaunch.
    • By the end, marketing built all its own pages: about 5–10 a month.
